Focus & Approach
A comprehensive psychological evaluation includes gathering a vast amount of information in an effort to develop an in depth understanding of you/your loved one. Sources of information may include clinical and caregiver interviews, collateral interviews with therapists, primary care doctors, mentors, or other support persons (as appropriate and with a signed release of information), behavioral observations, psychological, cognitive/intellectual, attention, and/or academic assessments, caregiver and teacher checklists (as appropriate), and review of collateral records from mental health, educational, and medical providers.
These sources of information assist with gaining a better understanding of what led individuals to seek a psychological evaluation, their innate strengths, talents, and interests, and identifying learning style differences and (systematic) obstacles or barriers impacting their ability to grow, heal, and move toward authenticity and joy.
Multiple sources of information also help to identify diagnostic impressions (if any), and can help guide next steps, including but not limited to treatment planning. I work to interpret assessment results within the context of individual’s lived experiences to better understand what happened to them rather than what is “wrong” with them.
Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process
is the bravest thing we’ll ever do.

Direction
My hope is that throughout the evaluation process, you will feel empowered to (re)claim your/your family’s narrative, recognize and cultivate your innate strengths, abilities, wisdom, and gifts, and remember that you have what it takes to heal and live in alignment with what feels best and most helpful to you.
I hope you find your unique path to gaining self-knowledge, healing to bring about growth and the change(s) you envision, deepening compassion and courage toward yourself, and telling your untold story. These paths/changes come in many forms and look different for everyone.
I hope that I can be a partner in supporting your journey to gain self-knowledge and to move toward authenticity and joy. Please feel invited to bring me what you need and we can carry it together.
